How to Show Product Carousel/Grid Slider Based on WooCommerce Product Category

How to Show Carousel/ Grid Product Slider Based on WooCommerce Product Category (A Step by Step Guideline)

Before using the ‘WooCommerce Product Carousel, Slider and Grid Ultimate Pro’, you should have installed the ‘ WooCommerce’  plugin on your WordPress site. However, let me show you the overall process in a step-by-step guideline.

Step 1: Upload and activate the plugin

To purchase the ‘WooCommerce Product Carousel, Slider and Grid Ultimate Pro’ plugin, go to the official website of wpWax marketplace and head over to the ‘WooCommerce Product Carousel, Slider and Grid Ultimate Pro’ from the plugins section. After purchasing the plugin successfully, now it’s time to upload the Plugin. To do that, go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard and head over to the Plugins option located to the left sidebar.

Next, from the admin menu bar and click on Plugins ➤Add New➤ Upload Plugin.

Next, click on Choose File and choose the purchased .zip file of  ‘WooCommerce Product Carousel, Slider and Grid Ultimate Pro’ from your computer and then click on Install Now.

After installing the plugin successfully, click on Activate Plugin. The plugin will automatically be stored in the Installed plugins list.

Step 2: Categorize products in a new category

This step is not necessary for those of you who have already listed ‘WooCommerce products’ based on different categories. If you don’t know how to categorize products, then this step will help you a lot.

Next, go to your Dashboard Admin Menu bar. Click on Products ➤Categories. 

Now, you are on the product Categories page. To create a new product category, go to Add New Category and provide a suitable Name for your new category. Also, give a Description that describes the product. It’s better to keep it short. Next, Upload/Add an image in the Thumbnail and click on Add new category.

Hurrah! you have created your new specific category for the product name My life my styles. Currently, 6 products have been included in this category. There are also other products categories here you can see as well. We will work with them later in this tutorial. See the screenshot below.

Step 3: Create new product slider

After activating the plugin successfully, you will see WooCommerce Product Ultimate in the admin menu of your Dashboard. Now, click on it. You will see an Add New option.

Now, you are on the Add New product slider page. Take a quick look at this page. First, give a title for the new product slider by adding a title in the Add title box. 

Under this option, there is Settings and Shortcode Generator option in which there are General Settings, Carousel/Grid Settings. Style Settings and shortcodes options. You can modify your product slider by all of these settings and shortcodes.

Step 4: Add category based products in Slider 

After creating a new slider for a product, It is time to add category-based products in the product slider. To do that, click on General Settings. Here, you will find different options to decorate the carousel or grid product slider.

Now, you have landed on the General Settings option. To add category-based products in the carousel or grid slider just go to the General Settings and scroll down. 

Next, you will find the Products Type option here. Just select the radio button beside the Category Products option. You need to add one or more product category names here you have created earlier. 

You can also set the number of how many products you want to display in the product category slider by selecting the Total Products to Display option. The screen will be like.

You can work with all the three settings like General Settings. Carousel/ Grid Settings, Style Settings to decorate your favorite category-based product slider. 

Step 5: Publish and display category based product slider in a page

Finally, select and copy the automatically generated Shortcodes and click on the Publish button to publish.

Now, paste the shortcodes to any page or post you want. The view of the category-based product slider in the frontend will be like below. Now, take a look at the frontend view of the category-based product slider in the carousel style view.
